Safe
The service demonstrated a strong culture of learning, with patients encouraged to raise concerns. Managers thoroughly investigated incidents to ensure lessons were learned and improvements made. Patients were effectively safeguarded, and staff consistently understood and managed risks to maintain safety.
Facilities and equipment met patients’ needs, were clean, well-maintained, and any potential risks were appropriately mitigated. There were enough staff with the right skills, qualifications and experience to deliver high-quality care. Managers ensured staff received appropriate training and regular appraisals to support continuous professional development. The service supported staff wellbeing.
Medicines were managed safely and effectively, contributing to the overall quality and safety of care provided.
At our last assessment we rated this key question as requires improvement. At this inspection the rating changed to good. This meant patients were safe and protected from avoidable harm.
