Staff ensured that patients fully understood their care and treatment, enabling them to provide informed consent and actively participate in decision-making about their care. Patients were treated with kindness and compassion. Staff protected their privacy and dignity. They treated them as individuals and supported their preferences. Patients had choice in their care and were encouraged to maintain relationships with family and friends. Staff responded to patients in a timely way.

At our last assessment we rated this key question good. At this assessment the rating remained good. This meant patients felt well-supported, cared for and were treated with dignity and respect.
