Women, and where appropriate, those important to them, were involved in discussions about their care and the assessment of their individual needs. Staff took account of each person's physical, emotional, communication and personal care requirements to ensure care was tailored to the individual.

The service promoted positive outcomes by delivering care that prioritised client safety and minimised the risk of harm. Staff monitored clients throughout their procedures to ensure their comfort, wellbeing and any changing needs were appropriately addressed.

Staff provided clients with clear and accessible information about their care and treatment, enabling them to make informed decisions and give valid consent before procedures were carried out.
