Our view of the service

The assessment was conducted between 17 August to 2 September 2026.

Your life (Beverley) is a domiciliary care agency registered to provide personal care to people in their own homes. This was the first inspection of this service since registration.

The Care Quality Commission (CQC) only inspects services where personal care is provided this includes assistance with tasks related to personal hygiene and eating. Where applicable, any wider social care provided is also considered. At the time of assessment, the service was supporting three people.

People received care and support that was personalised and reflected their assessed needs, preferences and desired outcomes. Care plans, risk assessments, consent records and reviews demonstrated involvement in care planning and ongoing monitoring of support.

Systems were in place to safeguard people from abuse and avoidable harm. Safeguarding processes were supported by policies, local procedures and regular review of accidents, incidents and safeguarding concerns to identify learning and improvement opportunities.

Safe recruitment processes were followed, including DBS checks, references and identity verification. Staffing arrangements supported continuity of care, and training compliance, supervision and staff development were monitored through established management processes.

Staff demonstrated an understanding of safeguarding, risk management, communication, consent, equality, dignity and person-centred care. Staff described positive communication within the team and felt supported to raise concerns and seek guidance when required.

Governance arrangements included audits, care record reviews, incident monitoring, training oversight, action planning and quality assurance processes. The Registered Manager demonstrated oversight of service performance and a commitment to continuous improvement, learning, partnership working and maintaining positive outcomes for people receiving support.

Relatives consistently told us staff were kind, caring and professional in their approach and had confidence in the quality of support being delivered.

Feedback indicated that staff took time to get to know people, understood their needs and encouraged them to maintain independence wherever possible. People and their families felt involved in decisions about care and support and told us communication from the service was open, responsive and effective.
