Patients were involved in decisions about their care and treatment and understood the need for the recommended diagnostic and screening procedures. The service provided information about cardiology tests which patients could understand. Patients were invited to give feedback, and the service took it seriously. The service worked to improve access. The service worked to reduce health and care inequalities through service planning. The service supported staff wellbeing. However, the service’s complaints process was not comprehensive. The service could not demonstrate all staff received training in equality, diversity, inclusion and human rights, although they knew about the potential for health inequalities.
