Effective – this means we looked for evidence that people’s care, treatment, and support achieved good outcomes and promoted a good quality of life, based on best available evidence. At our last inspection we rated this key question good. At this inspection the rating has changed to outstanding. This meant people’s outcomes were consistently better than expected compared to similar services. People’s feedback described it as exceptional and distinctive
People using the service described their care as “excellent” and “individual”. The service adopted a holistic approach to assessing, planning, and delivering person-centred care, supported by robust processes that drive continuous improvement. Handovers and multidisciplinary team (MDT) meetings effectively prioritised patient outcomes, emphasising psychological and emotional needs. Staff were well-trained in managing complaints and incident reporting, with learning actively promoted through multiple channels to enhance services. Regular audits underscored a commitment to evidence-based practice. Policies were proactively updated and innovative practices encouraged improved outcomes.
