The lower the decile, the more deprived the service population is relative to others.
We undertook this assessment due to the length of time since our last assessment. This was a focused assessment, where we followed methodology which required us to review 10 specific quality statements, across all 5 key questions. The assessment did not contain review of clinical practices. This assessment considered the demographics of the people using the service, the context the service was working within and how this impacted service delivery. Where relevant, further commentary is provided in the quality statements section of this report.
Staff kept facilities clean and maintained equipment appropriately to ensure people were kept safe. They assessed and managed the risk of infection and took steps to control the risk of it spreading. Staff supported people to live healthier lives, monitoring their care and treatment to ensure they received positive and consistent outcomes. People could mostly access care, treatment and support when they needed it. Staff understood their individual roles and responsibilities. Leaders accounted for the actions, behaviours and performance of staff through clear and effective governance processes. Although staff had completed mandatory training, we found the oversight of role specific training required review.
People's experience of this service
As part of our assessment, we reviewed feedback from people who used the service to understand their views and experience. The 2026 National GP Patient Survey results had 111 responses, this showed people were very positive with services provided and all the results were above the national or local averages. For example, 92% of patients stated their needs were met and 88% stated they had a very or fairly good overall experience, which were both above the national and local averages. In addition, 99% stated they had confidence and trust in the healthcare professional they saw or spoke to, the national average in comparison was 93% and the local 91%.
CQC received 8 patients feedback which was very positive, examples of comments made were administrative staff and doctors go above and beyond to be helpful, empathetic, flexible and supportive of patient’s needs.
We were provided with the minutes of the most recent Patient Participation Group meeting in 2026, which demonstrated the group discussed access to the practice, promotion of local services, patient involvement and access to medical records.
The practice submitted unverified friends and family feedback (FFT) for July 2026 where they had received 32 responses and all with the exception of one was positive.
