This service scored 75 (out of 100) for this area. Find out what we look at when we assess this area and How we calculate these scores.
Person-centred Care
The provider made sure people were at the centre of decisions about their care and treatment. Staff involved people in planning and reviewing their support and took account of their views, preferences and desired outcomes. When people’s needs or circumstances changed, the provider worked with them and, where appropriate, those important to them to agree how their care should be adapted. This helped ensure support remained person-centred and responsive to people’s individual needs. A member of staff said, “I try to explain something complex in simple terms and I explain the outcome of making a decision.”

People were given opportunities to express their views through discussions, reviews and other feedback processes. Staff involved people in decisions about their care and explained any changes made in response to their feedback. This helped people understand that their views were listened to and used to improve the service. A member of staff said, “We use gentle prompts to help [person]. We teach [person] to have boundaries.”

Equity in experiences and outcomes
