We assessed Taunton PET CT from 25 June to 3 July 2025.
We assessed 1 assessment service group at this location due to an aged rating. We previously inspected the service in 2021 and rated them requires improvement. We found that the service had made improvements and met the breaches found at the previous inspection. We assessed Diagnostic Imaging where we assessed all 33 quality statements.
Taunton PET CT was registered with CQC in December 2017 to deliver the regulated activities: Diagnostic and screening procedures. The service had a Nominated Individual.
We rated the location as Good.

We undertook an onsite assessment at Taunton PET CT on 25 June 2025. We continued the assessment with online interviews until 3 July 2025.
We rated the service as good. We found improvements had been made since our last inspection and the breaches had been met.
Staff now received mandatory training in subjects appropriate for their role. The service now shared learning from incidents. Pause and check guidance was performed for every patient before administering injections or scanning the patient. The service had an up-to-date risk register which was reflective of the risks faced in the carrying on of the regulated activity. Governance arrangements for the oversight of staff training was accurate and effective.
