Our view of the service
We undertook an onsite assessment at Taunton PET CT on 25 June 2025. We continued the assessment with online interviews until 3 July 2025.
We rated the service as good. We found improvements had been made since our last inspection and the breaches had been met.
Staff now received mandatory training in subjects appropriate for their role. The service now shared learning from incidents. Pause and check guidance was performed for every patient before administering injections or scanning the patient. The service had an up-to-date risk register which was reflective of the risks faced in the carrying on of the regulated activity. Governance arrangements for the oversight of staff training was accurate and effective.
People's experience of this service
People we spoke with expressed they were happy with their care, and our assessment found the care did meet the expected standards. An example of patient feedback we received was “staff are friendly and parking is great - which meant I was not stressed before the appointment.”
