Our view of the service

Date of assessment: 22 July to 31 July 2026. This service is a homecare agency, registered to provide personal care for people living in their own homes in the community. At the time of the assessment there were 11 people receiving a regulated activity.

People received safe, personalised care from staff who knew them well and understood their individual needs and preferences. Risks to people's health, safety and wellbeing were identified and managed well. People’s medicines were managed and administered safely. Staff were appropriately recruited and trained and were supported to carry out their roles effectively. Staff understood their safeguarding responsibilities and were confident concerns would be responded to appropriately.

Staff spoke positively about the support available to them and described open communication and good teamwork across the service. Staff said they felt valued by managers and told us, “It’s a really lovely company to work for.”

Managers and staff worked with people, relatives, healthcare services and other organisations to support positive outcomes for people and demonstrated a commitment to delivering safe, compassionate and responsive care. People's care and support was regularly reviewed to ensure it remained effective and reflected their wishes, preferences and goals.

The service had 2 registered managers in post. A registered manager is a person registered with the Care Quality Commission to manage the service and is legally responsible for ensuring the service meets the requirements of the Health and Social Care Act 2008 and associated regulations. The service was well managed and had a positive, person-centred culture. Effective governance and quality assurance systems supported oversight of performance, risk and outcomes. The registered managers were visible, approachable and had a good understanding of the people using the service.
