Staff treated patients with kindness, compassion and respect. Patients consistently told us they felt listened to and supported by staff, particularly the prescribers. Staff understood the impact of long waiting times and made efforts to reassure patients, offering flexible appointment times to accommodate patients routines and responsibilities.

The service promoted person-centred care. Staff made reasonable adjustments for neurodiverse patients, such as offering appointments without video or at preferred times. Patients said they felt comfortable sharing personal information and that staff were sensitive to their needs.

Patients were involved in decisions about their care and treatment. Most said they were satisfied with the recommendations and support they received. However, a small number felt they were not always included in decisions about medication options. The service encouraged feedback through multiple channels, including a patient voice group and user testing of the online portal.

Staff supported patients to live healthier lives. Clinicians signposted patients to a range of resources, including sleep training, mindfulness tools, and recommended reading. Patients also received physical health support, such as blood pressure monitors sent to their homes, and there was good communication with GP's to ensure continuity of care.

The service fostered a culture of dignity and respect. Staff were aware of patients’ individual circumstances. Patients told us they felt valued and respected, and that staff took time to explain their care and treatment clearly.
