Our view of the service

Psychiatry UK provides remote, consultant-led mental health care for adults and children with ADHD, autism spectrum disorder, and mental health conditions. At the time of inspection, the service supported over 90,000 patients across various stages of referral, assessment, and treatment. The inspection found that patients generally received safe, effective, and person-centred care.

The provider had strong systems in place to manage risk and safeguard patients. Staff used structured risk assessments and innovative AI tools to monitor patients and prioritise care. Safeguarding processes were well embedded, and staff were confident in raising concerns.

Medicines were prescribed safely, care and treatment followed national guidance, and staff used structured assessments supported by digital tools. Patients were supported to manage their health and wellbeing, and feedback was used to improve services. Staff worked well together and communicated effectively with external partners.

Patients described staff as kind, respectful, and responsive to their needs. The service made reasonable adjustments for neurodiverse patients. Most patients felt involved in their care and supported throughout their journey.

Leaders were visible, knowledgeable, and committed to continuous improvement. Governance systems were effective, and there was a strong culture of openness, learning, and innovation. Staff felt valued and supported, and the provider had invested in workforce development and technology to meet growing demand.
