This is the first assessment for this service, this key question was rated as good. This meant the service was consistently managed and well-led. Leaders and the culture they created promoted high-quality, person-centred care.

We assessed 5 quality statements for well led: shared direction and culture, capable, compassionate and inclusive leaders, diversity and inclusion, governance, management and sustainability, partnerships, communities, and learning, improvement and innovation.

The provider had a clear vision for the service, centred on delivering honest, kind and supportive care. This approach was reflected in the way the service worked with GPs and signposted families to community resources to help improve outcomes for babies and caregivers.

The registered manager had the skills, knowledge and capability to lead the service effectively. Systems were in place to support families remotely when required, and policies and procedures helped ensure care was delivered in an inclusive and equitable way.

The registered manager demonstrated a commitment to ongoing development and quality improvement. They engaged with the Association of Tongue-tie Practitioners (ATP), contributing to shared learning and keeping their knowledge and practice up to date.
