Our view of the service

We carried out a remote assessment of Green Olive Care Ltd from the 9th February to 4th March 2026. This was the first assessment of the service. Following the assessment, the service was rated good.

Green Olive is a domiciliary care agency that provides personal care to people in their own homes. The provider was registered with the Care Quality Commission on 17 August 2022. At the time of our assessment, four people were receiving care and support from the service

People received care that was tailored to their individual needs. A consistent group of staff supported people, which helped staff understand people’s preferences and routines. People and their relatives told us they felt safe using the service and were satisfied with the support provided. They described staff as caring, respectful and attentive. Staff attended visits as planned and provided care in line with people’s needs.

People were involved in decisions about their care and support. Assessments were completed before care started and people told us their care was reviewed to ensure it continued to meet their needs. Staff supported people to retain independence where possible and people were encouraged to express their preferences and make choices about their daily care.

Staff completed training relevant to their roles and told us they felt supported in their work. Staff described the management team as approachable and responsive when guidance or support was needed. Recruitment procedures were in place to help ensure staff were suitable to work in the service.

During the assessment we identified some areas where records could be strengthened. In particular, risk assessments contained helpful information but did not always fully reflect or correspond with the risks identified in people’s care plans. This meant documentation did not always provide a clear and consistent overview of how risks were managed.

The provider acknowledged these findings and told us they will address the issues identified. We did not identify evidence that people had experienced harm as a result of these concerns.

Overall, people received care from staff who knew them well and supported them in a respectful and responsive way. The provider demonstrated a willingness to reflect on feedback and take action where improvements were required.
