Well-led
We found the endoscopy service was well led, with leaders promoting a positive, inclusive and patient-focused culture. Staff spoke positively about leadership and told us they felt supported, valued and able to contribute to service improvements.
Leaders encouraged continuous learning and quality improvement through regular governance meetings, audits, patient feedback and performance monitoring. Staff were supported to develop their skills and were encouraged to raise concerns, share learning and contribute to improvements in the service.
The service worked collaboratively with clinical teams and external partners to deliver coordinated care that met patients' needs. Leaders maintained oversight of quality, safety and patient outcomes and used this information to identify opportunities for improvement and support the delivery of safe, effective and person-centred endoscopy care.
At this inspection, we rated Well-led as Good. This reflected that the service was well organised and benefited from effective leadership that supported high-quality patient care.
