Governance, management and sustainability
The provider had clear responsibilities, roles, systems of accountability and good governance. They used these to manage and deliver good quality, sustainable care, treatment and support. Effective systems were in place to monitor and review the quality of care and experiences of people. The provider had recently sought external assurance about the quality of the service through a consultant who provided them with some suggested areas of development. The provider had acted upon the recommendations, and we observed strengthened systems which had been put into place, particularly regarding how the registered manager maintains oversight of events which occur. The provider and the management team maintained a strong presence locally which enabled them to respond to any issues as they arose.
