Our view of the service

Date of Assessment: 15 October to 27 October 2025. Mountbatton Care Ltd is a care at home service providing personal care to people of all ages who live in their own homes. At the time of our assessment 65 people used the service. Not everyone who used the service received personal care. CQC onlyinspects where people receive personal care. This is help with tasks related to personal hygiene and eating. Where they do, we also consider any wider social care provided.

We assessed the service against ‘Right support, right care, right culture’ guidance to make judgements about whether the provider guaranteed people with a learning disability and autistic people respect, equality, dignity, choices, independence and good access to local communities that most people take for granted.

We undertook this assessment due to information we received about the safe management of medicines. We found people’s care was safe and people and were happy with the support they received from Mountbatton Care Ltd. Medicines were managed safely and needs of people were appropriately assessed. Staff had access to risk assessments and care plans which enabled them to provide safe and consistent care. People and their families were supported to make informed decisions about their care and staff understood the importance of gaining people’s consent during care visits. Systems were in place to protect people from the risk of abuse and lessons were learned from events which occurred. There were enough staff deployed to ensure staff could meet people’s needs. People received support from staff who were safely recruited, inducted and trained in relation to their specific care needs. This included when staff were supporting a person with a learning disability or an autistic person.
