Equity in experiences and outcomes
Staff and leaders actively listened to information about people who were most likely to experience inequality in experience or outcomes and tailored their care, support and treatment in response to this. The provider supported people to access other services to ensure their health needs were met and adaptions could be made to their home to help them maintain their independence. People and their family members were very positive about the care provided from the staff team and the impact this had on their lives. One person told us they experienced low mood caused by a mental health condition. They said, “My mental health has sky-rocketed since this company came. Staff make me laugh.” A family member also told us, “[The provider] are very much family run and understand our position. They will act on anything and have sorted issues out for [Name]. One of the care staff made a twiddle blanket for [Name] who uses this all the time. The staff member made this off their own back.”
