We have served a S29 warning notice on Precious Glimpse Roundhay on 28 May 2026, because we had concerns about delivery of safe care and treatment in line with best practice and national guidance, lack of risk assessments for pregnant people using the service, the environment and equipment, infection prevention and control, and lack of systems in place to actively assess, monitor and improve the quality and safety of services.

Safe
We found new breaches of regulations 12 and 15 and continuing breaches of regulation 12. The service did not have had a good learning culture and could not demonstrate they managed safety well. Women were not protected and kept safe because the registered manager could not demonstrate they understood local safeguarding arrangements. The rergistered manager did not demonstrate they had the right skills, qualifications and experience to ensure high quality care and treatment.
The registered manager did not ensure they received mandatory and refresher training to maintain high-quality care. There were no policies for management of unexpected deterioration in a person’s condition. The registered manager did not understand and manage risks in the environment such as mould growth and fire escape. The facilities and equipment did not meet the needs of people, were not clean and well-maintained and any risks were not suitably mitigated.
