Well-led
We looked for evidence that the service’s leadership, management and governance assured high-quality, person-centred care and promoted an open and fair culture. At our last assessment, we rated this key question as good. At this assessment, the rating remains the same.
This service scored 75 (out of 100) for this area. Find out what we look at when we assess this area and How we calculate these scores.
The service had a shared vision, strategy and culture. This was based on transparency, equity, equality, human rights, diversity, inclusion and engagement. Staff and leaders understood the challenges and the needs of people and their communities.
Staff had contributed to the development of the service’s vision and strategy, which was kept under review. Leaders monitored and reviewed progress against the delivery of their strategy. The service was aware of challenges which affected their service, such as the lack of room capacity at the premises. This meant that some additional services had to be provided from other local practices for example, the social prescriber was now based at another local practice which had caused a decrease in the number of referrals to the service. The practice planned to increase social prescriber awareness and sharing of outcomes for patients by staff events with the social prescriber.
Staff and leaders actively promoted equality and diversity and worked to identify the causes of any workforce inequalities. They demonstrated a positive and compassionate listening culture that focused on learning and development. The practice had undertaken a staff survey in December 2025 which had showed mixed results. The practice had not introduced any action plan. They advised us that they anticipate repeating the survey in 2027 and comparing results.
Staff we spoke with told us they felt supported by the GP partners and management and felt able to raise concerns and suggestions for improvement.
