Staff and leaders actively listened to information about people who are most likely to experience

inequality in experience or outcomes and tailored their care, support and treatment in response

to this.

 

Peoples dining experiences were not always equal. We observed differences between the two different dining areas within the home. One area didn’t have accessible menus and people had longer wait times and a difference in how choices could be made. We shared this with the management team who took immediate action to address this. As a result, they made changes to staff deployed at meal times at meal times. Further changes were also made to equipment to ensure the dining experience was equitable.
