Independence, choice and control
The provider promoted people’s independence, so people knew their rights and had choice and control over their own care, treatment and well-being. People were fully supported to gain as much independence as possible in line with their reablement needs and confirmed they were fully involved in their care. One person told us, “I have been here almost 6 weeks now. I know what is in my care plan and I drive my care. My goal is to be fully mobile again and I am working towards that with the help of the staff here who have been absolutely wonderful.”
Staff were positive in empowering people to make their own choices and were trained to support people’s independence.
