This is our first assessment of this service. Safe is rated as good. Emergency and Urgent Care and Patient Transport services are rated as good.

We assessed this service on 20 May 2026. The assessment was undertaken based on information of concern received. As a result of information received, this assessment was limited to inspecting the safe and well-led domains only.

Spark Medical North West operates a fleet of emergency ambulances staffed by either paramedics or technician-led crews. The organisation provides both non-emergency patient transport and NHS emergency response services. This includes delivering emergency care for children and young people.

Spark Medical North West was registered with the CQC under the new provider, Spark Medical Uk Limited on 26 March 2026. As a new provider has taken over the service it has ‘inherited’ the previous location history (rating and report). Managers and staff continued to work at the service through the change in ownership.

Spark UK Medical’s head office is located in Bromborough, Wirral, Merseyside. The premises offer a spacious office environment alongside extensive secure on-site parking with 24/7 security. In addition, there is access to a range of communal training and meeting facilities within the building.

This Independent Ambulance service provided the following activities:

• Patient transport services
• Urgent and emergency services
