At our last assessment we rated this key question outstanding. At this assessment the rating has remained outstanding. This meant service leadership was exceptional and distinctive. Leaders and the culture they created drove and improved high-quality, person-centred care.

Governance, management and sustainability

The provider had clear responsibilities, roles, systems of accountability and good governance. They used these to manage and deliver good quality, sustainable care, treatment and support. They acted on the best information about risk, performance and outcomes, and shared this securely with others when appropriate.

An established management team had clear roles and responsibilities, for example a specialist team conducted reviews of people’s finances. Compliance visits were regularly carried out and involved assessing all aspects of each location, including care delivery and medicines administration. Management meetings were regularly held with learning shared.

Health and social care professionals were complimentary about the service. A Professional told us, “I collaborate with many different agencies of varying quality, and I would honestly say, New Beginnings is one of the best I personally deal with.”
