Our view of the service
Hanover Supported Living provides care and support to people living in supported living settings, so that they can live as independently as possible. People’s care and housing are provided under separate contractual agreements. CQC does not regulate premises used for supported living. Not everyone supported by this service received the regulated activity of personal care. This assessment looked at people’s personal care and support. At the time of our assessment, the provider was supporting 9 people with personal care.
Date of assessment: 18 June 2025 to 7 July 2025.
We assessed the service against ‘Right support, right care, right culture’ guidance to make judgements about whether the provider guaranteed people with a learning disability and autistic people respect, equality, dignity, choices, independence and good access to local communities that most people take for granted.
Medicines were managed appropriately and administered as prescribed. The provider had a recruitment process which enabled them to identify applicants best suited to work with the people they supported. Staff completed a range of training to help them support people with their needs. Lessons learned following incidents, accidents and complaints were shared with staff to improve practice. The provider worked with healthcare professionals and other organisations to meet the support needs of people. The provider had a range of audits which were completed to monitor the quality of the care provided.
