We looked for evidence that the service met people’s needs, and that the provider treated people equally and without discrimination.

This is the first inspection for this service since its registration with CQC. This key question has been rated as good.

Person-centred Care

The service made sure people were at the centre of their care and treatment choices and they decided, in partnership with people, how to respond to any relevant changes in people’s needs. Clients completed pre-assessment forms prior to their appointment, so the treatment could be personalised to their needs.

Our review of clinical records showed patients were supported to understand their condition and were involved in planning for their care needs. They were also involved in decisions about their care.

Care provision, Integration and continuity

The service understood the diverse health and care needs of people and their local communities, so care was joined-up, flexible and supported choice and continuity.

The service provided home visits to meet the client where they were most comfortable. This included care homes. The provider demonstrated knowledge of the local population and client needs.

Providing Information

The service supplied appropriate, accurate and up-to-date information in formats that were tailored to individual needs.

The provider gave information leaflets to clients during their appointment which contained information related to aftercare. The provider carried photos and diagrams that were used to support the provider when explaining the treatment to clients.

Listening to and involving people

The service made it easy for people to share feedback and ideas, or raise complaints about their care, treatment and support.

The provider had not received any complaints within the last 12 months. The provider had received compliments in the last 12 months.

Equity in access

The service made sure that people could access the care, support and treatment they needed when they needed it.

Appointments were available throughout the week, at different times throughout the day. Appointments could be booked by contacting the provider directly by telephone, email, or text message via the contact details on the providers website.

Equity in experiences and outcomes

The provider actively listened to information about people who were most likely to experience inequality in experience or outcomes and tailored their care, support and treatment in response to this. The provider made adjustments to support people, such as visiting care homes to provide care. The provider sought feedback from people to listen to their views. Feedback received by CQC from people highlighted that people were happy with the outcome of their treatment.
