We assessed Western Medical Services Ltd on 20 to 22 August 2025.
We assessed 2 assessment service groups at this location. We assessed patient transport services and emergency and urgent care.
Western Medical Services Limited was registered with Care Quality Commission (CQC) to deliver the regulated activities: Transport services, triage and medical advice provided remotely, and treatment of disease, disorder or injury. Western Medical Services Ltd was added as a location in November 2024. The service did not have a registered manager at the time of the assessment. However, the service had plans to manage regulated activities and a registered manager application had been submitted to CQC
At this assessment we assessed 2 assessment service groups: Patient transport services where we assessed 33 quality statements and emergency and urgent care where we also assessed 33 quality statements.

The assessment was carried out from 20 to 22 August 2025.
We carried out this assessment in line with our routine assessment priorities. We assessed 33 quality statements for the 5 key questions: safe, effective, caring, responsive and well-led.
This is the first assessment of the service. At this assessment we rated the service as good.
The service had systems and process to deliver good care and keep people safe. The service carried out checks on staff professional registration. Staff received training and had opportunities to develop. Staff felt able to speak-up and raise concerns. There were processes to listen to people and improve service provision. Systems and processes identified risks to people.

This is the first assessment of the service, which was registered in November 2024. At this assessment we rated the service as good.
The service included transport of patients detained under the Mental Health Act. The service had systems and process to deliver good care and keep people safe. Staff received training and had opportunities to develop. Staff felt able to speak-up and raise concerns. There were processes to listen to people and improve service provision. Systems and processes identified risks to people.
