We found this practice was providing effective care in accordance with the relevant regulations and had taken into consideration appropriate guidance.

At the inspection on 4 July 2025, we found the practice had made the following improvements to comply with the regulations:

We looked at a sample of patient care records and found that all appointments had a corresponding clinical record. The information recorded was broadly in line with recognised guidance. Further improvements could be made to ensure all clinicians consistently recorded details of both extra- and intra-oral examinations. We discussed this with the provider, who in response to our feedback submitted evidence that relevant clinicians had completed refresher training on record keeping.

We saw evidence the dentists justified, graded and reported on the radiographs they took.

Patients were referred to primary and secondary care specialists for treatment the practice did not provide. This included referring patients with suspected cancer under the national faster diagnosis pathways.

Further improvements could be made to ensure all clinicians were familiar with the current guidance on dental radiography for children, antimicrobial prescribing and staging and grading of periodontal management.
