Our view of the service
We undertook a follow-up inspection on 4 July 2025. This was carried out to review the actions taken by the registered provider to improve the quality of care and to assess whether the practice was meeting legal requirements.
We had previously undertaken an unannounced inspection of London Dental House and Medical Clinic on 11 April 2025. We had found the registered provider was not providing safe, effective and well-led care and was in breach of regulations 12 (Safe care and treatment) and 17 (Good governance) of the Health and Social Care Act 2008 (Regulated Activities) Regulations 2014.
During our follow-up inspection, we found the practice had met regulations.
Improvements had been made to ensure that persons providing the care and treatment to patients had the qualifications, competence, skills and experience to do so safely.
The practice had improved systems for identifying, assessing and mitigating risks, including areas such as Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH), Legionella and the management of risks associated with the premises and equipment.
The practice maintained accurate and detailed records of care provided to patients.
There were systems in place to monitor training to ensure appropriate action can be taken quickly when training requirements were not being met.
There was effective leadership and sufficient internal scrutiny of the systems and processes in place to provide care and services to patients.
Infection control procedures were broadly in line with published guidance.
The practice is in South Ealing, in the London Borough of Ealing, and provides private dental care and treatment for adults and children.
There was step-free access to the practice and car parking spaces were available near the practice.
The practice had 2 treatment rooms.At the time of our inspection, there was a total of 17 staff, of which there were 5 dentists, 1 qualified dental nurse, 7 trainee dental nurses, 1 dental therapist, 1 dental hygienist, 1 receptionist and the practice manager. We spoke to a range of staff during our inspection, including 1 dentist, 2 trainee dental nurses, 1 receptionist and the practice manager.
