At our last assessment we rated this key question good. At this assessment the rating has remained good. This meant the service was consistently managed and well-led. Leaders and the culture they created promoted high-quality, person-centred care.

Governance, management and sustainability

The provider had clear responsibilities, roles, systems of accountability and good governance. They used these to manage and deliver good quality, sustainable care, treatment and support. They acted on the best information about risk, performance and outcomes, and shared this securely with others when appropriate.

People, their relatives and staff members told us the service was well managed, and any issues were resolved quickly. They told us there was an open culture within the service and the registered manager listened to their views and opinions.

The provider had a clear governance framework in place which enabled good oversight of the service. The registered manager and other senior leaders within the provider organisation regularly carried out a range of quality checks and audits. Action plans were in place to address any shortfalls identified. Learning from governance activity was shared at regular staff meetings in order to drive service improvements.
