The provider had systems in place to monitor quality and safety, including a new electronic care system. Records showed care was documented, although some inconsistencies were noted as the system was being embedded. Environmental risks been shared with the registered manager during our visit. Some had been actioned by the registered manager others had works booked in. Risk assessments had been updated to manage the risks in the interim. The concerns raised had not impacted on people’s safety or care.

The registered manager completed regular service audits which reviewed the day-to-day running of the service and helped to maintain oversight of quality and safety. The provider also carried out internal compliance audits to further assess the effectiveness of systems and processes. Findings from these audits were clearly documented and any recommendations were incorporated into a structured action plan. However, improvements were needed as not all risks had been picked up, as mentioned above.

Relatives gave very positive feedback about leadership. One commented, “Management is brilliant, always available,” and another said, “It is just the best thing. Everything is dealt with,” reflecting an accessible and responsive management team. This showed a strong and supportive leadership culture focused on continuous improvement.
