At this assessment the rating has remained good. This meant people were supported and treated with dignity and respect; and involved as partners in their care.

The provider promoted people’s independence, so people knew their rights and had choice and control over their own care, treatment and wellbeing.

People were supported to maximise their independence. For example, one person enjoyed African food. Staff helped them shop for the ingredients to make the dishes they enjoyed and cooked their meal preferences.

Staff told us how they helped people to make decisions by offering choices. Feedbackfrom staff included: “I ask if they want to do it themselves and encourage them to choose.”

People told us staff were kind and caring. Comments included, "They have a friendly attitude; they are caring when they help and yet it is not patronising" and "They listen to what I say."
