During an assessment of Dialysis services

We undertook an assessment of Castle Vale Renal Unit on 28 April 2025.

The service delivers haemodialysis for approximately 175 people and had provided 22,734 dialysis sessions between March 2024 and April 2025. The service provides morning and afternoon dialysis sessions 6 days a week, with an additional 3 twilight sessions each week. There were 36 dialysis bays on the unit.

In addition, there was a home haemodialysis service where 29 people were supported to undertake their own dialysis at home.
