The assessment was carried out between 23 October and 18 November 2025. We visited the office on 11 November 2025. Cuckoo Care Ltd is a domiciliary care agency registered to provide personal care to people living in their own homes.
At the time of the assessment, 15 people were receiving support with personal care. The Care Quality Commission only inspects services where personal care is provided. This includes assistance with tasks related to personal hygiene and eating.
Care plans were detailed, person-centred and showed people’s required needs and support. Staff involved people in decisions about their care and treatment and supported them to understand risks to keep themselves safe. People were offered choice and control of their care and were treated with kindness, compassion, and dignity, and encouraged to remain as independent as possible.
Staff had completed safeguarding training, had a good awareness of the different types of abuse, and how to escalate any concerns promptly.
Staff were mostly recruited safely. Some minor shortfalls were identified, but these were addressed promptly. Staff were offered an induction, which included appropriate training, support, shadowing and competency checks to ensure the team had the right mix of skills to deliver safe care.
