Kindness, compassion and dignity

The provider treated people with kindness, empathy and compassion and respected their privacy and dignity. Staff treated colleagues from other organisations with kindness and respect.

The provider had arrangements to promote people’s privacy. Changes had been made to the layout of the queuing system in reception to promote privacy following suggestions from the PPG. The provider performed better than the national average in the results of the 2026 National GP Patient Survey. This showed people felt listened to and felt they were treated with kindness. For example, 82% of respondents to the survey felt the healthcare professional at their last appointment was good at considering their mental wellbeing, compared to a national average of 75%. Feedback from people to CQC was extremely positive. People described the staff working in the practice as genuinely helpful, kind, and caring. People described that the care was compassionate, and staff took the time to talk through any options that were available to them.

Staff worked collaboratively with staff from other services, such as midwives and district nurses. Throughout our assessment, all staff demonstrated empathy for the people they cared for, and a passion for providing the best service possible. There was a culture of kindness and respect throughout the practice. Staff described ways in which they worked together positively across their teams. A representative from the PPG told us about the compassion they had received in their own care from the practice.
