Safe
This means we looked for evidence that people were protected from abuse and avoidable harm.
At our last assessment we rated this key question as good. At this assessment the rating has remained the same. This meant people were safe and protected from avoidable harm. The service was well furnished, well maintained and fit for purpose. Staff provided care and treatment in a way which made clients feel supported and listened to. Clients felt they were respected and treated with kindness, and compassion. Clients were treated as individuals and encouraged to be involved in their care and treatment planning. There were sufficient staff, processes, and equipment in place to maintain the safety of the clients and to meet their needs. Staff understood how to protect clients from abuse and the service worked well with other agencies to do so. Information regarding the client’s care, treatment, and external resources available were displayed throughout the service.
