Updated 5 November 2025
Date of assessment: 13 November 2025 to 11 December 2025. Ranis Healthcare Limited is a domiciliary care service, providing personal care and support to adults of all ages, some of whom were living with dementia and/or a physical disability. We carried out this assessment to check if the required improvements from the previous inspection had been completed. The provider was previously in breach of the legal regulations in relation to person centred care, risk management, safeguarding people, staffing and safe recruitment. Improvements were found at this assessment, and the provider was no longer in breach of these regulations. The provider was also previously in breach of the legal regulation in relation to governance. Whilst some improvement was found at this assessment, the provider remained in breach of this regulation.
Since the last assessment, a clear action plan had been implemented at the service. A new management team had been appointed, and the manager was awaiting registration with the Care Quality Commission. All leaders understood their role and responsibilities in driving forward the changes required. A full review of systems and processes had taken place, and the provider was in the process of reviewing all care documentation. Whilst this had led to some improvements in care delivery, we found this was a work in progress. Improvements were ongoing and it was evident that some changes were yet be fully embedded.
This service has been in Special Measures since 01 August 2025. The provider demonstrated improvements had been made. The service is no longer rated as inadequate overall or in any of the key questions. Therefore, this service is no longer in Special Measures.
