During an assessment under our new approach
We carried out this announced, on-site inspection on 21 May 2025.
We found the practice had met regulations.
Patients’ care and treatment was provided in line with current guidance, and infection control procedures were in place.
The practice had systems to manage risks.
Recruitment procedures reflected current legislation and there was effective leadership and a culture of continuous improvement.
Patients were treated with dignity and respect and at the time of our inspection, could access care, support and treatment when required.
Genix Healthcare Market Weighton Ltd is part of Genix Healthcare, a dental group provider. The practice is in Market Weighton, North Yorkshire and provides NHS and private dental care and treatment for adults and children.
There was step-free access to the practice and car parking spaces, including dedicated parking for disabled people, were available near the practice.
The practice had 4 treatment rooms. At the time of our inspection, the dental team consisted of 7 dentists, 1 dental therapist, 7 dental nurses (including 2 trainees), 1 dental nurse/treatment coordinator, 2 receptionists, the practice manager and the assistant manager.
During the inspection we spoke with 2 dentists, 1 dental nurse and the practice manager. One of the group’s compliance team were at the practice supporting the team.
Staff feedback forms were shared with the team ahead of the inspection, giving staff an opportunity to confidentially share their views about the practice. We received 3 responses, which were considered as part of the inspection.
