We carried out this announced on-site inspection on 20 August 2025.
We found the practice had met regulations.
The practice had effective systems to identify and manage most risks, including infection prevention and control.
Staff had the skills, knowledge and experience to carry out their roles.
There was effective leadership and a culture of continuous improvement.
Staff provided care and treatment in line with current guidance. They treated patients with dignity and respect and ensured access to care, support, and treatment when required.
Recruitment procedures reflected current legislation. The provider should ensure these are consistently followed.
Improvements should be made to the procedures to reduce the risk of Legionella, or other bacteria, developing in water systems.
Alderley Dental is in Alderley Edge and provides private dental care and treatment for adults and children.
There were 2 small steps to access the practice and car parking spaces were available near the practice.
The practice had 4 treatment rooms. At the time of our inspection, there was a total of 17 staff, of which there were 7 dentists, 1 specialist endodontist, 2 dental therapists, 3 dental nurses, 2 receptionists, a treatment coordinator and the compliance lead. We gathered feedback from staff and spoke to a range of staff during our inspection, including 2 dentists, 1 dental nurse, the treatment coordinator and the compliance lead.
