During an assessment under our new approach
We carried out this announced on-site inspection on 8 December 2025.
We found the practice had met regulations.
The practice had effective systems to identify risks, including fire safety, legionella and infection prevention and control. Issues for action were outstanding in the legionella and fire risk assessments. The practice were aware of outstanding issues and were working towards addressing these.
Staff had the skills, knowledge and experience to carry out their roles.
Some improvements were required to the practice’s recruitment procedures.
Staff reported an effective leadership and a culture of continuous improvement.
Staff provided care and treatment in line with current guidance. They treated patients with dignity and respect and ensured access to care, support, and treatment when required.
The practice is in Coventry and provides NHS and private dental care and treatment for adults and children.
There was step-free access to the practice and car parking spaces available, including dedicated parking for disabled people, near the practice.
The practice had 6 treatment rooms. At the time of our inspection, there was a total of 20 staff, of which there were 5 dentists (including an orthodontist), 10 dental nurses (including 4 trainee dental nurses), 2 dental therapists, 1 orthodontic therapist, 1 head receptionist and the practice supervisor. Some dental nurses also worked on reception or had administrative roles. We gathered feedback from staff and spoke to a range of staff during our inspection, including 2 dentists, 3 dental nurses, 1 orthodontic therapist, 1 receptionist and the practice supervisor.
