Updated 12 May 2026
We undertook a follow-up on-site inspection on 23 April 2026. This was carried out to review the actions taken by the registered provider to improve the quality of care and to assess whether the practice was meeting legal requirements.
We had previously undertaken an announced of Broadway Dental Centre on 5 February 2026. We had found the registered provider was not providing safe and well-led care and was in breach of regulations 12, safe care and treatment, 15, premises and equipment, and 17, good governance, of the Health and Social Care Act 2008 (Regulated Activities) Regulations 2014.
While the practice had addressed many of the issues found during our last inspection, there were ongoing concerns relating to the oversight and governance of the service.
The practice had improved their systems to identify and manage risks, but procedures relating to infection prevention and control and management of medical emergency equipment required further improvement.
The practice had improved their safeguarding processes and had implemented effective systems to review and investigate incidents and accidents.
Management of medicines and prescriptions had improved to ensure it was in line with current guidance.
Staff obtained patients’ consent to care and treatment in line with legislation and guidance.
The practice is in the London Borough of Wandsworth and provides NHS and private dental care and treatment for adults and children.
There was step-free access to the practice and car parking spaces, including dedicated parking for disabled people, were available near the practice.
The practice had 4 treatment rooms. During the inspection we spoke with the principal dentist.
The provider was not complying with 1 regulation .Full details of the regulation the provider was not meeting are within the inspection findings below.
We have asked the provider for an action plan in response to the concerns found at this inspection.
