Accommodation for persons who require nursing or personal care

  • Ms Louise Anne Kerry is responsible for these services.
  • Mrs Marrissa Jewitt is the registered manager for these services at this location.
Condition of this registration relating to carrying out this regulated activity

The Registered Provider must ensure that Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is being worn correctly by all staff at the service, Briardene Care Home, to prevent and control the spread of the Covid-19 virus. By 23 February 2021 the Registered Provider must send a report to the Care Quality Commission (“CQC”) detailing what actions have been taken to ensure PPE is being worn correctly.

The Registered Provider must undertake a review of all infection control procedures relating to the Covid-19 virus. This must include; ensuring staff competency in the use of PPE and effective donning and doffing procedures; appropriate PPE used in relation to the use of aerosol generating procedures [AGP]; storage of PPE, service user risk assessments linked to Covid-19 and cleaning procedures. By 23 February 2021 the Registered Provider must submit a report to CQC detailing what action has been taken/is to be taken as a result of this review. The report must set out any situations where current government guidance is not being followed and the measures in place as a result, to prevent and control the spread of the Covid-19 virus.

Terms of this registration relating to carrying out this regulated activity

The registered provider must only accommodate a maximum of 60 service users at Briardene Care Home.
