Kidderminster Medical Centre is a GP practice located in Worcestershire. The medical centre is part of Wyre Forest Health Partnership which is a partnership of 5 GP practices: Bewdley Medical Centre, Church Street Surgery, Hagley Surgery, Kidderminster Medical Centre, and Stourport Medical Centre. Kidderminster Medical Centre delivers services to around 14,701 patients under a contract held with NHS England. The provider is registered with CQC to deliver the following Regulated Activities: Diagnostic and screening procedures; Family planning; Maternity and midwifery services; Treatment of disease, disorder or injury; and Surgical procedures.

The National General Practice Profiles states that the ethnic make-up of the practice area is 94.8% White, 2.6% Asian, 0.50% Black, 1.6% Mixed Ethnicities, and 0.50% Other Ethnicities. Information published by Office for Health Improvement and Disparities shows that deprivation within the practice population group is in the 4th decile (4 out of 10). The lower the decile, the more deprived the practice population is relative to others. The practice was previously inspected in 2024. We carried out a comprehensive inspection on 24th and 31st March 2026 and rated the practice Good in all domains and Good overall.

People's experience of the service

The results of the National GP Patient Survey found 82% of patients described their overall experience of Kidderminster Medical Centre as ‘Good’ which was above the national average of 75%. 94% of patients reported the healthcare professional they saw or spoke to was good at treating them with care and concern during their last general practice appointment. 91% of patients reported the healthcare professional they saw or spoke to was good at listening to them during their last general practice appointment. 92% of patients found the reception and administrative team at Kidderminster Medical Centre helpful.

Data shared from the NHS ‘Friends and Family Test’ showed that the vast majority of patient experience about the practice was highly positive. 94% of patients surveyed said they found their care at the practice to be either ‘Very Good’ or ‘Good.’

To hear from patients about their experiences we asked the service to share details of CQCs ‘Give Feedback on Care’ process. CQC received feedback from 6 patients of which 5 were positive about their experience of the service; and 1 was negative. Positive patient feedback related to the access to the service, clinical care and treatment received, and staff helpfulness and compassion. Negative feedback related to a patient’s dissatisfaction with care and treatment received.
