There were areas where the provider could make improvements

During a routine inspection

We spoke with the doctor, three other staff members and two people who used the service. In this report the name of a registered manager appears who was not in post and not managing the regulatory activities at this location at the time of the inspection. Their name appears because they were still a Registered Manager on our register at the time. The provider is in the process of registering a new manager for this location.

Both people we spoke with had been using the service on and off for several years. They both said they were given information about the service and what they could expect. They also confirmed they were given an information booklet about how to change their diet and lifestyle to promote weight loss. One person said 'they don't give you false promises. I am confident I am making an informed choice'.

People's records reflected their current medical conditions and any medical history that may affect their treatment. Care and treatment was delivered in way that was intended to ensure people's safety and welfare.

There were appropriate processes in place for the management of medications. Records were accurate and fit for purpose. They were securely stored and could be located promptly.

The provider had systems to regularly assess, monitor and manage risks to health, safety and welfare of people using the service.
