We carried out this focused announced on-site inspection on 23 April 2026.
We found that the practice had met regulations. However, there had previously been a lack of oversight, which had resulted in areas where the practice was not always working in line with guidance. We were assured that the provider had identified these shortfalls and had developed and was implementing a plan to address them, make improvements, and ensure these changes become embedded over time. Due to the inspection being focused, a comprehensive inspection will be undertaken in due course.
Staff provided clinical care and treatment in line with current guidance. They treated patients with dignity and respect and ensured access to care, support, and treatment when required.
Mydentist – South Street - Chichester is part of Mydentist, a dental group provider. The practice is in Chichester and provides NHS and private dental care and treatment for adults and children.
The practice is located across 3 floors. Car parking spaces, including dedicated parking for disabled people are available near the practice.
The practice had 5 treatment rooms. At the time of our inspection, there was a total of 13 staff. We gathered feedback from and spoke to a range of staff during our inspection, including 2 dentists, 2 dental nurses, 1 dental hygienist, 3 receptionists, a covering practice manager and a compliance manager for the company.
