Caring
Staff treated people with kindness, empathy and compassion, and respected their privacy and dignity. Staff received regular training to understand patient barriers and preferences ensuring care is delivered in respectful and supportive manner.

Kindness, compassion and dignity
Staff treated people with kindness, empathy and compassion and respected their privacy and dignity.
The practice had arrangements to promote people’s privacy. The practice performed better than the average in the results of the 2025 National GP Patient Survey. This showed people felt listened to and felt they were treated with kindness. For example,
87% of respondents to the survey felt the healthcare professional at their last appointment was good at treating them with care and concern, compared to a national average of 86%.
96%of the respondents to the survey felt they were involved as much as they wanted to be in decisions about their care and treatment during their last general practice appointment, compared to a national average of 91%.
Feedback from friends and family test (FFT) consistently highlighted the warmth, kindness and support provided by the staff at the practice. Patient privacy and dignity were always respected, and we noted chaperones were routinely offered to patients where appropriate.
Staff at the practice received regular training on communication skills including support with managing difficult conversations.
We were told that health checks for people with learning disabilities and severe mental health illness were tailored to individual needs with flexible appointment arrangements to support carers and patients where appropriate.
