Updated 30 September 2025

Date of Assessment: 13 February 2026 to 23 February 2026.

Northenden Group Practice is a GP practice and delivers service to 8,682 patients under a contract held with NHS England. The service also has a branch surgery in Gatley. The National General Practice Profiles states that the practice population ethnicity estimate is 79.1% White, 9.3% Asian, 4.3% mixed, 3.6% Black, and 3.7% other non-White ethnic groups. Information published by Office for Health Improvement and Disparities shows that deprivation within the practice population group is in the 4th decile (4 of 10). The lower the decile, the more deprived the practice population is relative to others. This assessment considered the demographics of the people using the service, the context the service was working within and how this impacted service delivery. Where relevant, further commentary is provided in the quality statements section of this report.

People's experience of the service

Updated 30 September 2025

People expressed mixed views about the quality of their care and treatment. Recent survey results, including from the National GP Patient Survey and feedback provided to CQC, indicated levels of satisfaction that were variable and, in some areas, below local and national averages.

There was an active patient participation group (PPG) who represented the views of people using the service. Representatives from the PPG described how managers made positive changes because of feedback, such as increasing evening and weekend appointment availability.
