This service scored 75 (out of 100) for this area. Find out what we look at when we assess this area and How we calculate these scores.
Kindness, compassion and dignity
The service always treated people with kindness, empathy and compassion and respected their privacy and dignity. Staff treated colleagues from other organisations with kindness and respect.
The service had arrangements to promote people’s privacy. The service performed better than the national average in the results of the 2025 National GP Patient Survey. This showed people felt listened to and felt they were treated with kindness. For example, 86% of respondents to the survey felt the healthcare professional at their last appointment was good at treating them with care and concern, which was in line with the national average.
Also, 91%of the respondents suggested the healthcare professional they saw or spoke to was good at listening to them during their last general practice appointment, in comparison to the national average of87%. These mirrored feedback we obtained from the practice’s own Friends and Family test results where people described staff as “friendly and caring”.
The social prescriber at the practise facilitated coffee mornings for patients, which were widely attended and received positive feedback. The sessions supported patients and provided opportunities to build friendships and social connections.
Leaders told us they endeavoured to provide holistic support for carers and identified and supported people with non-clinical needs such as social isolation and stress.
