We looked for evidence the practice involved people and treated them with compassion, kindness, dignity and respect. At our last assessment, we rated this key question as good. At this assessment, the rating remains the same.

The practice always treated people with kindness, empathy and compassion and respected their privacy and dignity. Staff treated colleagues from other organisations with kindness and respect.

The practice had arrangements to promote people’s privacy. For example, if required, patients could speak to reception staff away from the reception desk in a more private area. For wheelchair users we saw that the reception desk had a dropped area to better facilitate discussions with reception staff and promote dignity. The practice performed better than both local and national averages in results from the 2025 National GP Patient Survey for questions about kindness and care. Results showed people felt listened to, and were treated with kindness. For example, 94% of respondents said that they found the reception and administrative team at the practice to be helpful, this compared to a local average of 84% and a national average of 83%. In addition, 88% of respondents to the survey felt the healthcare professional at their last appointment was good at treating them with care and concern, compared to local and national averages of 86%. This positive feedback was mirrored by comments we saw within NHS Friends and Family Test responses, many of which mentioned that staff at the practice were friendly and helpful.
